Wild one for this week's #GrindayFriday - a trilogy of very brief records by Seattle, Washington's TONGUE BATH. This is 'fastcore' or punk-infused powerviolence and grind. Nothing gross here but some really extreme, cool stuff -- the powerviolence and speed but also some slower, riffy spots. Three albums, most songs only seconds, you can listen to all of these records in just a few minutes.

TÆL is a powerviolence 3 piece from Oslo, Norway that is just two bass guitars and drums (no regular guitars). It makes for an excellent, sludgy, bottom end sound, and it's perfect for #GrindayFriday. TÆL's self titled LP from 2023 blasts through its 16 tracks in a frantic, unabashed frenzy.

I understand that @HailsandAles has dubbed it #WhiplashWednesday and at first I wasn't sure if I was going to listen to much metal today, but who am I kidding.

A KILLER grind (powerviolence?) band I discovered thanks to @Easydor that I've had on all afternoon (seriously, EVERYTHING they've done is GREAT) that I won't even save for a GrindayFriday is the super weird ONA SNOP from Leeds.

If this doesn't give you whiplash, I don't know what will.

Fair warning, this is a weird, gross one for #GrindayFriday (not that ALL bands I feature on GrindayFridays aren't weird and gross). GOEYCHIVO is a mincing powerviolence (read: goregrind, basically) band from Mexico. Heavy, bizarre, everything good grind should be. This is GoeyChivo's ridiculous LP 'Sed de Sangre Primitiva' from 2021.
