I’ve wanted an original press of this for a long time, but there’s two problems with that.
1. I’ve never SEEN an original.
2. Even if I did, I’d have to drop a couple of hundred bucks AT LEAST.
Today, I saw this reissue and had to get it.
This is one hell of a #psychedelic #prog record, and probably my FAVORITE of the genre from the late #60s & early #70s .

These #60s songs are beyond obscure, & a few of them are straight up bat shit crazy.
The opener is a baroque, operatic #psychedelic mindfuck. It’s followed by a very SOULFUL kind of #Psych & then continues to twist, turn and morph from there.
The only band I knew was The Pretty Things.

Sundazed always does a great job with their releases, but this one in particular sounds great. Particularly “I Had Too Much To Dream Last Night”, a #psychedelic rock masterpiece.
This collection really puts into focus just how great the Prunes were.

This week's #MusicWomenWednesday is the great new record 'Look Familiar' from last year (another I almost missed) by Australia's indie rock collab THE GREEN CHILD. Raven Mahon's voice is killer through these tracks of psych, electronica and rock. Partway through the first song, the feel almost shifts, the second song has vibes of The Cars, synth lines, cool guitar work. Also a Stereolab or Kraftwerk feel sometimes, too- but this rocks harder than either. This album is rad as fuck. A must hear.
ok, so a thing I've noticed with these random 10 to 18 hour sleeping sessions is that reality feels wrong afterward.
Like, I think existing -- the conscious experience of feeling and reacting to sensations or sensory inputs from your body (and mind, which is somehow perceived as different for no reason 
) --
is a habit.
You have to be in the flow or familiar with how existing feels. Otherwise it's unusual or unfamiliar.
This feels tautological af, but whatever. Allistic people need sad music to know a scene is "supposed to be" sad, so maybe this does bear clarification.
I'm late to the party but I would like to praise the writers and actors of #Psych. For years I've seen pieces and bits, but now I'm enjoying it (and all easter eggs and references) for real.

When I was on the old instance, I posted Gardens a few times with hopes people would discover it AND discover New Math, who were incredible.
Before last year, I had NO IDEA that Jet Black Berries were essentially the same band, just with a more #psych #garage angle than NM’s #postpunk #newwave approach.
Great band(s) either way. They’re both phenomenal.
