Success!

I picked up a “farm jack” and a 3/8” chain to pull a wood post set in concrete.

This one was rotted off at ground level, so I had to dig down a bit to get the chain around the concrete.

Jacking this succeeded in breaking off a big chunk (progress!), but leaving the post and most of the concrete in the ground still.

I used a hammer and chisel to break additional concrete, exposing enough post to wrap the chain around.

This had enough grip to pull the remainder out.

New post is set with concrete, I’ll reattach the fence tomorrow.

Next project I've been doing quietly in the background... Custom designing Gridfinity storage and such for the PaintPal system.

Still a lot of organizing to go, but finally have enough shelving to hold things in a handy place. Where the minis temporarily are is to hold paints I am using while painting instead of all over the desk.

I may print the back extensions so I can go 4x5 deep for paint brushes organizers and such.

Pictured is heavily modified PaintPal system, with custom shelving and Gridfinity units in several drawers. Some drawers are open, most are closed. There's some painting supplies and minis strewn about the organizing chaos

And finally, here are the 2 devices in situation: the 2-way switcher on my vintage stack (on the right of the OR15), and the 6-way one on my modern stack (between the Soldano and the red A-wai amp) 🙂

All amplifiers are now permanently wired and ready to rock, I just have to plug my guitar, power the amp(s) on and use the switcher to select the one I'll be playing 🎸🤘

I went with Hammond 1441 series enclosures, as they're made out of steel and can therefore bear the weight of a few tube amplifiers stacked on top.

This made drilling difficult (especially the holes alignment), so I'd recommend going with aluminum cases if possible.

A black steel box, drilled with 15 holes, with most of them being obviously mis-aligned to some extent. The box sits on top of an old newspaper, with carboard panels on the background for avoiding metal projections across the room.

I shared these snaps yesterday on Masto, but I wanted to share them here as well.
My garden was full of all sorts of (big) weeds... I spent just over an hour, trying to get as much out as my hands and body allowed.
I didn't finish it all, but there is some difference between the two snaps. And no, I don't mean the missing Labrador in the second snap. 😂

A pavement leading to the house, with a chocolate brown Labrador lying on it. Behind it is a garden area that's full of weeds. The two gardens in the back that are slightly visible, they look a lot nicer and cleaner. So I have to do my best to get my weeds out!
The same garden as in the first snap, but with disrupted soil. Many weeds have been eliminated, but there are still weeds remaining to be killed, a next time I get to work on it. Unless I wait too long, and there will be more weeds again, as they come back with a vengeance!
