The most distant object easily visible to the unaided eye is M31, the great Andromeda Galaxy. Even at some two and a half million light-years distant, this immense spiral galaxy -- spanning over 200,000 light years -- is visible, although as a faint, nebulous cloud in the constellation Andromeda.

Tried that #SpotTheStation again last night. I can report that shooting with the shutter open significantly affects results. #M31 and #Comet #12P are just smudges (as expected), but they're there

I've had no time to do any astronomy for fun recently. I was working until after 4am this morning so had very little sleep, but I just made myself take 30mins to explore #Jupiter, loads of #StarClusters, #M45 + #M31 with my #SkywatcherHeritage 74mm mini #Dobsonian #telescope. No imaging - just looking. This telescope is so much fun and I love it
