Gustavo 🎮🔭🇵🇷Well, given that my local weather is not cooperating, I can share a pic of my scope then. This is a <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/refractor" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#refractor</a>, and uses lens in the front to gather light, as opposed to mirrors. It’s kinda short as well for its size, so in practice that means that it’s more suited for wide field observing.

Paul 🏳️‍🌈After a think while I was working today I decided to hedge my bets a little and go for a pair of telescopes. A 102mm refractor and a 127mm mak.Given the breeze, moonlight, possible cloud later on I decided it wasn't a big Dob night.<a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Refractor" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Refractor</a> will be great for double stars and clusters and the <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Mak" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Mak</a> will be good for <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/planets" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#planets</a> and the <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/moon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#moon</a>Telescopes assemble!<a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Astrodon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Astrodon</a>

Paul 🏳️‍🌈At this stage it is carry on regardless. There seems to be plenty of observing time, but it will mean careful selection of a few good targets, fewer than intended. Over the day I will have a ponder about what I really want to have a look at & focus on.So next stop will be later this afternoon when the <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/telescope" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#telescope</a> comes out & I get everything aligned, collimated etc <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Refractor" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Refractor</a> or <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/reflector" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#reflector</a>?
