NGC 1499: The California #Nebula
The California Nebula (NGC 1499), resembling the state's outline, glows red from hydrogen recombination and is ionized by Xi Persei. About 1,000 light-years away in the Orion Arm, this 100 light-year-long emission nebula is visible in Perseus near the Pleiades with a wide-field #telescope.

The Bubble Nebula (NGC 7635) is a stunning, 7-light-year-wide bubble formed by a massive star 7,100 light-years away in Cassiopeia. The star’s winds blow gas at over 6.4 million km/h, creating this cosmic shape. The nebula's bright colors are from oxygen, hydrogen, and nitrogen gases. Discovered in 1787, it's one of the most fascinating objects in space.

Starburst #Galaxy Messier 94
#Hubble's close-up of galaxy M94, 15 million light-years away in Canes Venatici, reveals a bright nucleus and inner dust lanes surrounded by a young star ring. Spanning 7,000 light-years, this view shows M94's rapid starburst activity, characteristic of Seyfert galaxies.

Seven Sisters versus California
The Pleiades cluster, over 3,000 stars enveloped in a blue reflection #nebula, contrasts with the red California Nebula in a composite image. Though 25 full moons apart, both are captured alongside IC 348 and LBN 777 (Baby Eagle Nebula).
