Walking a bush path, we find a fallen tree blocking the way. We could see it as an obstacle & turn back, or we could climb over, crawl under, or walk around. The tree does not stop the journey — only our #mind does. Barriers are only barriers if we make them so. The path is not just the clear ground but everything upon it. If we stop resisting, we see that the tree is not blocking the path — it is the path, inviting us to move with it, not against it.

#ZenBuddhism emphasises direct #experience over scriptures or rituals. It teaches that #enlightenment is realised through #meditation in everyday actions. A famous saying is, “If you meet the #Buddha, kill him,” meaning not to cling to concepts. #Mukyōhō rejects hierarchy, viewing #Buddhist robes & ranks as hindrances. #HadakaShinzenyoku is practised as a path to #enlightenment through direct connection with #Nature.

#Mukyōhō, (‘No Boundaries Way’), is a school of #ZenBuddhism. It rejects traditional hierarchies, lineages, & formal ranks, seeing them as human constructs that hinder #enlightenment. #Mukyōhō teaches that #enlightenment isn’t attained through rituals or wearing robes but through direct experience of #Nature. #Nakedness is central, symbolising #equality & #oneness with existence, rejecting #societal constructs that create separation.

The variety of #Buddhist traditions — such as #Theravāda, #Mahāyāna, & #Vajrayāna — arose from differences in culture, geography, & interpretation. For example, #ZenBuddhism (#禅仏教) emphasises #meditation & direct #experience, while #PureLandBuddhism (#浄土仏教) centres on devotional practices. These are not contradictions but adaptations, each fulfilling the same purpose: to reduce suffering & cultivate #wisdom, #compassion, & #awareness. (2/8)
