A new Song Exploder episode with Le Tigre's song Deceptacon from their 1999 self-titled debut album.

I also just listened to the #SongExploder about #BlueMonday, and it is one of the best episodes. It is wonderful hearing all the little parts of the song come together. My favorite part is now none of the three remaining band members who formed #NewOrder wanted to take over as singer, and they just chose Bernard because his disinterested attitude towards the whole thing sounded interesting. songexploder.net/new-order

"Using the isolated, individual tracks from a recording, Hrishikesh asks artists to delve into the specific decisions that went into creating their work. Hrishikesh edits the interviews, removing his side of the conversation..."

Seal wrote his 1994 hit song "Kiss from a Rose" in the late 80s while living in a squat with no money, not knowing how to play any instruments, and with no experience recording in a studio.
