friends i recently installed weston in linux mint debian edition faye
i was trying to get waydroid to work but gave up after i was unable to get the weston waydroid window to connect to the internet
is it better to make a new clean installation of linux mint DE than to try and remove weston?
i have not noticed anything bad, but have read that installing new desktop environments can cause problems and weston installed wayland

Installed Kinto’s mac shortcut keyboard. Was struggling lots on macbook to keep changing the shortcuts.

Do any users of #GIMP on #Linux know how to install the in-development version of the Resynthesizer plugin, called the "resynthesizer3 branch"?

Despite being a Linux user, I've maybe "cloned, built and installed" two things since 2019...so I need instructions-for-dummies.

I'm just missing a couple of the healing functions from Resynthesizer as it was far better at it than I am doing it manually.

I came to the conclusion that only two Linux distributions are worth installing.

- Linux Mint: if you want stability and everything to run smoothly.
- Arch Linux: if you like to tweak something all the time.

#TomTom on #LinuxMint has a very interesting zoom. I think it's speed-dependent/logarithmic. Once I remember that, it's really precise.

Overall, some tricks need to be learned. But I haven't been swearing at it as much as I did with #Garmin

(Talkin' 'bout route-planning on a laptop. TT is web-based, Garmin uses an application.)

I just scheduled a note to be published on April 20th at 10:00 AM EST in regards to my thoughts on switching from #Windows to #LinuxMint. April 20th marks the one year anniversary of me making the big switch in operating systems.

Trying out #Cinnamon in #LinuxMint. There is no way to add or change keyboard layout it should be there but it's missing.

I've been using Mint (Cinnamon) exclusively for the last four years or so, and I'm generally completely happy and satisfied and I don't miss Windows at all.

Except for one thing: Windows terminal.

And actually just one part of Windows terminal: being able to give different names to tabs.

I don't want to use a different terminal with AI bullshit or anything, I just want to have different names in tabs.

Anybody?
