I'm looking for some #gamemusic for my #7drl game. It has an anarchistic/punk aesthetic, so something along those lines!
Since it's for a game jam, has to be free to use at least for non-commercial projects.
There's obviously a bunch of royalty free music sites, but they all require registration and I really can't be bothered with that bs rn.

Again @sovga that's one for you to spread around (if you didn't post it already? I think this has been open for a while).
They market it like a "new Audio platform" but the asset management (import/update) is already really basic, with only a file explorer option by selecting the files manually. There is a waveform editor but only for in/out point for now. It is usable for sure but not adapted to a production workflow imo #gameaudio
Last weekend I had a try at using Tazman Audio's Soundmaker, presented a bit like a self-contained interactive player, like a Max/Pure Data patch that you can easily export for DAWs or Game engines.
The idea is great and the tools are really well thought out, but the UX (lack of shortcuts and visual links between elements) and documentation for the Editor is very bare, making understanding the basics arduous let's say. #gameaudio
We're likely going to hire at least one more developer at Kilohearts soon. No formal job listing yet, but if you're interested or know someone who might be a good fit let me know!
We're primarily oriented around C++, and GUI/graphics or audio experience is valuable. Kilohearts is based in Linköping, Sweden.

I've been a pianist for most of my life, mostly practicing jazz and classical.

I avoid boosting pictures without Alt text, despise so-called artificial intelligence and other capitalistic grifts, and wished more people would wear masks.
