#Scientific papers include more and more often #replication packages with valuable #datasets that are then frequently used to train #AI and #MachineLearing models.

But with datasets not properly #documented with information about their #provenance, #biases and other #social concerns, this is risky as the #ML models will use in environments for which the data was not representative, yielding potentially wrong conclusions.

In this work, we have analyzed the datasets in two top dataset journals to study their #documentation #practices and propose a few recommendations to improve the current situation.

"We look now at the #FarRight policy plan to overhaul the federal government, known as Project 2025. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is trying to downplay his connection to the plan. And last week, Kevin Roberts, head of the influential right-wing #HeritageFoundation, postponed the release of his Project 2025 book until after the November election. The book’s foreword is written by Trump’s vice-presidential running mate, #JDVance.

"Trump’s campaign insists it has no connection to the right-wing blueprint for #immigration, almost a thousand pages long — a blueprint for immigration, #ReproductiveRights, #ClimatePolicy and more. But many of the key figures working for Project 2025 are former top Trump administration officials, some of them featured in newly released videos that were created for Project 2025’s Presidential Administration Academy.

Brendan Fischer, deputy executive director of #Documented, a #watchdog group that tracks & investigates #money in #politics, said that Ross' gifts appear to have been "provided to #Trump in his capacity as a candidate & because he is running for office, & are therefore considered contributions" to his campaign—an interpretation supported by the Trump imagery on the truck. Another #ISO #audit. What a waste of time. While it's possible to have a #quality company producing quality product without it, you typically have documented processes, and evidence you follow them. BUT having those things DOES NOT mean you have quality.

Your #process could be take a box full of dogshit, drive over it with a forklift and light it on fire; so long as that #process is #documented and you can prove you follow it.. You pass.
