This is the famous Horsehead and Flame nebulas. My HaRGB version of this region is one of my favorite images I have made, so I wanted to give it another go with a different color palette. This time I went with more of a SHO look and I quite like it!

#Horsehead #Nebula, otherwise known as Barnard 33, resides roughly 1,300 light-years away in the constellation Orion.
The nebula formed from a collapsing interstellar cloud of material, and glows because it is illuminated by a nearby hot star.
#NASA 's #JamesWebb Telescope has captured the most detailed infrared images ever taken of the #Horsehead #Nebula, one of the most majestic and recognisable objects in the night sky
Webb captures iconic Horsehead Nebula in unprecedented detail

Sculpted by stellar winds and radiation, a magnificent #interstellar dust cloud by chance has assumed this recognizable shape.
Fittingly named the #Horsehead #Nebula, it is some 1500 light-years distant, embedded in the vast #Orion cloud complex.
The featured gorgeous color image combines both narrowband and broadband images recorded using several different telescopes.

After the release of the sublime image of the Horsehead Nebula by Euclid, here is a tribute to earlier endeavors, with this beautiful 1977 cover of Science Magazine, featuring a photographic plate by the National Geographic Society - Palomar Observatory Sky Survey
These incredible images are the first from dark-energy telescope Euclid
A spiral galaxy and the Horsehead Nebula are among the first pictures released by ESA’s Universe-mapping observatory.

The European Space Agency #ESA shared the first images from the #Euclid robotic telescope in space, and they did not disappoint. The new portfolio is impressive - Galaxies, globulars, and the iconic #Horsehead #Nebula shine in brand new detail - and these images are S H A R P, like nothing seen before.
