Analysis of these kinds of systems (from the "Rosenthal" of Corsi Rosenthal). These filters have been exceptionally useful both for wildfires (removing toxic smoke and particulates after the recent LA wildfires), as well as plague-of-the-day (COVID-19, influenza, RSV, threat of bird flu now here...). Also just generally good to keep the air pollution in your house to a minimum!

So it happened again - for absolutely no good reason cheap jumper wires just got torn while standing still on the desk.

So I quickly replaced my R4 WiFi with the new smaller and faster Arduino Nano ESP32 board for this project - works as it should now ✅.

Why? Because it has proper soldering connections. It allowed me to use quality wires for connecting sensors

R4 is great for prototyping and testing, while Nano ESP32 is cool for the finished product.

My #airQuality monitor is finlazed with a temperature and humidity sensor. You can see on the graph when I was soldering. I'm glad I'm not doing that activity very often!

I am trying to categorize the sensor readings into ranges: perfect, healthy, average, bad, and terrible. However, I am having difficulty determining the ranges and a formula to categorize them using a single sensor.

Any advice?

Another terrible day for the AQI in Los Angeles -- above 120 in most places. You can tell by this that the wind is starting to blow in Simi Valley -- air clears up in Santa Ana winds. (trading fire risk for clear air). #CAwx #AQI

As is usual in the mornings now, air quality is pretty crappy. You do you, but it's been N95 for me all week when outside. I pull up Purpleair.com to see how it looks. Usually clears quite a bit in the afternoon. Try not to suck too much PM2.5 particles into you lungs, if you can help it. #AQI #LosAngeles #VenturaCounty

Air quality specifically in the #EatonFire area - Altadena, La Canada Flintridge, and Pasadena is 200+ (!!). Note all the PurpleAir sensors which either were destroyed in the fire or where Internet/power does not exist. (satellite images and on-the-ground photos indicate firestorm incinerated those neighborhoods 🙏 ). #AQI #CAwx #wildfires
