Package Manager for Markdown

I'm working on a project that is intended to encourage folk to make markdown text files which can be bundled together in different bundles of text files using a package manager.

Question for coders; Which package manager would you suggest I use?

Main criterias (in order) are:

1. Easy for someone with basic command line skills to edit the file and update version numbers and add additional packages.

2. All being equal, more commonly and easy to setup is preferred.

I released immutable-struct 2.5.0 today.

Note: you should almost certainly be using Ruby's Data class at this point. But hey, I guess you have options.

Does anyone know how to update the description of a gem on rubygems.org?

I thought it was supposed to be set from the gemspec, but changing that doesn’t seem to have made a difference.

Has anyone looked into GitHub Build Provenance / Artifact Attestation but for building rubygems with C extensions?

Its a bit weird that #GitHub spearheaded #OIDC based authentication to retrieve short lived tokens for cloud platforms and then #PyPi, #RubyGems and even #Dart went and used that to enable short lived tokens for publishing packages – but GitHub themselves haven't yet launched it for #npm

Does anybody know how can I work around "Name is too similar to an existing gem named X" in RubyGems? I own X, I just decided to rename it to better match naming conventions. I also cannot yank X, because it's more that 30 days old.

Contact support- sure, but maybe there's something else I can do without bothering them?

Today I learned that the recommended way of seeing the #documentation of your locally installed #gems offline isn't

gem server

but

yard server -g

I feel old now.
