7: Obsession with a Plot
Russiagate. The Dems leaned hard into a narrative that blamed all systemic failures on foreign meddling instead of confronting the rot within U.S. capitalism and imperialism. They fixate on “Foreign interference” or “MAGA extremissts” as the sole source of evil while ignoring how capitalism itself generates fascism. This distracts from the fact that Democrats emable right wing policies like funding ICE, mass deportation and incarceration, building the wall, expanding wars, arming and training literal fucking Nazis, bailing out corporate and monied interests, etc, etc.
8: Enemies are both Strong and Weak
“Russia will invade all of Europe” vs “Russian troops have to fight with shovels”. Or how Dems portray the GOP as existential threats to democracy while refusing to use their power to stop them. They mock Trump and MAGA, yet act powerless—using their opponent’s evil as fundraising fuel. They justify endless war, mass survelience, and repression while promoting bullshit and useless incrementalism and telling people they. Just need to “vote harder”.
9: Pacifism is Trafficking with the Enemy
Democrats fund every war machine the GOP does—NATO expansion, billions to Israel, drone strikes under Obama, and “humanitarian interventions.” They just sell war with a smile and inclusive language. Anti-war leftists are vilified as “isolationists”, “tankies”, or “useful idiots” for opposing US imperialism. The Dems expand wars while pretending to be the peaceful alternative.
10: Contempt for the Weak
Dems talk about “equity,” but gut social programs, criminalize homelessness, and let health care rot. They refuse Medicare for All while claiming “incremental change” is the best we can do. The pity the poor but refuse to abolish poverty because a desperate workforce enriches their monied masters. They mock leftists as naïve while accepting homelessness, medical debt, and police violence as inevitable or even as something to be attacked with more police violence.
11: Everyone must be a Hero
From “essential workers” to veterans, Dems romanticize suffering while refusing real aid. Think of how nurses and teachers were clapped for during COVID—but not protected, paid, or supported. The party promotes individual activism instead of collective struggle. It turns justice into moral branding and performative bullshit that doesn’t threaten the status quo.
12: Machismo and Weaponized Identity
Dems champion cops, intelligence agencies, and surveillance. Biden boasts about increasing police funding. The party doesn’t question violence—it just manages it better for the ruling class. They elevate warmongering women as their “feminism” and pickwash imperialism. They use identity politics as a shield.
13: Selective Populaism
The Dems invoke “working families” while ignoring strikes, busting unions, and siding with corporate donors. Their populism is aesthetic, not material. They bailed out Wall Street, crushed the Occupy Movement, funded police while pretending to care about BLM, called Palestinian solidarity protestors “violent antisemites”.
14: Newspeak
The Dems rebrand imperialism as “democracy promotion,” corporate exploitation as “public-private partnerships,” and austerity as “fiscal responsibility.” Language is their weapon to hide the violence of empire and capitalism. Progressive = Neolberalism with rainbow flags. Diversity = More Black cops, Latino CEOs, and female drone pilots. Democracy= Rigged primaries, corporate donaors, lesser-evilism, and working hand in glove with Republicans to crush any viable third party or independent representation on our ballots.
Dems aren’t quite openly fascist like Rubs but they stabilize the system that creates fascism. They are collaborators. By absorbing dissent, expanding state repression, and preserving oligarchi capitalism at all costs they ensure that the left has been disarmed, co-opted, and marginalized. They actively pave the way for blatant fascism by promoting fascists as part of their suicidal “pied piper strategy”.
