Despite going to four different grocery stores this week to get ingredients for the next few countries in our #AroundTheWorld #CulinaryAdventures I was not able to get celery salt. So I am dehydrating celery leaves to make my own. Smells amazing!

I am making four spice mixes for the next few recipes and I am so excited! Growing my spice rack is one of my favourite parts of this adventure!

6 months into an #AroundTheWorld cooking tour, currently in the B's. Some observations:

Food doesn't observe political boundaries. Much to learn by following the culinary traditions. Food is political history. I love seeing the interwoven threads. We are more connected than we realize.

Ingredients for some foods are scarce, even living in the nation's capital.

Sauces & spices bring me joy!

I reduce the sugar in every dessert recipe.
