trashserver.net is now available via "Direct TLS" / Port 5270 (TLS only) for server-to-server communication.
The corresponding DNS record was recently added but wrong. This was fixed today. Will probably take a while until all servers have gotten the fixed record.

wiuwiu.de XMPP seems to quit its service at the end of the month. Obviously there has not been an official, public announcement, yet, but their users have been informed via XMPP messages.

I've closed registrations on trashserver.net because I'm sick and tired of all those accounts that are registered by spam bots, which annoy my users and those of other servers.
Unfortunately Ejabberd does not provide any really useful means of moderation / spam detection / user account review - just a simple, but not sufficient Captcha. Sooo... I guess I'll need to find another solution to it.
