Gern mal ausprobieren: https://vermessungs-bibliothek.de/quickgnd.php
Wiki Movimento Brasil has finished announcing the latest iteration (v3.0) of the @wikidata #QuickStatements tool. If you’ve ever done any substantial editing with #Wikidata, you are almost certain to have used QS at least once.
„the script takes as input a single #doi or a list of DOIs as input, and for each DOI looks up in #OpenCitations if it cites other article DOIs and is cited by other DOIs. For the cited and #citing DOIs it checks if those are in #Wikidata and (only) if they are in Wikidata, then it create #QuickStatements.“ https://chem-bla-ics.linkedchemistry.info/2024/09/07/wikidata-citations.html
Il n'est jamais trop tard pour se rappeler que #quickstatements peut te permettre de faire 1000 modifs en 20 minutes, plutôt que 100 modifs manuelles / heure à dose homéopathique sur des semaines...

#Question #Quickstatements #Wikidata : I can't add a url following the """https://...""" template CSV. Any idea ?
The best solution I found to add a #ScientificPaper with a #DOI to #Wikidata is:
1.) You need a #MediaWiki account. Log in.
2.) Open https://scholia.toolforge.org/doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0299689 where you replace the DOI after .../doi/... with the DOI of the paper you want to add.
3.) Go to "Submit to #QuickStatements"
4.) Click on "Start"
While started by those self-hosting and developing on #Wikibase, many members now use #WikibaseCloud, identified in a 2023 survey as the preferred method of use by 50% of participants: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Summary_Wikibase_Suite_Survey_-_2023.pdf - no wonder, as it has #WDQS, #QuickStatements and #Cradle, and free maintenance. Some instances store tens or hundreds of thousands of entities: https://wikibase.cloud/discovery
As many issues are unique, Cloud has its own chat:

Interessiert an #Wikidata im #GLAM-Bereich? @digiSberlin veranstaltet am 19.4. eine ganztägige online-Einführung mit viel hands-on. Wir werden Statements/Items erstellen/ergänzen, Daten mit #SPARQL abfragen und auch einen Blick auf #Commons (und die strukturierten Daten dort) werfen. #Quickstatements und #Reconciliation mit #OpenRefine spielen auch eine Rolle. is #quickstatements down, by any chance? Quite some batches appear to be stuck ....
#Wikidata is rather useful for monitoring/documenting follower counts on #Mastodon. Here's, e.g., a bubble chart with the 300 most followed accounts: https://w.wiki/99Mi
A couple of lines of code and the magic of #quickstatements allows for a easy update routine so that it's no big deal to keep the numbers up to date.
"The Bandiera arancione ... is a recognition of quality awarded by the Touring Club Italiano to small towns (population 15,000 or less) in #Italy for excellency in tourism, hospitality and the environment." (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bandiera_arancione). On #Wikidata, the 'bandiera arancione' (Q678967) is basically not used (https://w.wiki/8ddQ). A #bash one-liner scrapes the respective towns from the Italian #wikipedia and prepares a tsv for #QuickStatements. https://w.wiki/8deL #LOD
"I borghi più belli d'Italia" on #Wikidata: Convert a wikipedia table (https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/I_borghi_pi%C3%B9_belli_d%27Italia) into something compatible with #QuickStatements in a single bash command in order to make the most beautiful villages in Italy shine on Wikidata as well. (https://w.wiki/8XZR)
(the first column in the resulting tsv contains the place name and was needed for manual additions; must be discarded before uploading)
Is #Quickstatements working normally right now? I see plenty of batches stuck at 0% ...

Put together a list of 739 former and current #TrinidadAndTobago members of Parliament. Ran it through #OpenRefine, reconciled everything, got it exported to #Quickstatements
I now have the power to create 500+ #Wikidata items and edit another #200+ all in one fell swoop. Not sure I'm ready to be that reckless, but it's a nice sense of achievement and *power*
I tried to edit #Wikidata tonight using #OpenRefine and #QuickStatements for the first time. Screwed up a few things and ended up fixing them by hand, but overall it was fun. And a lot less daunting than it had been in my head
Using my lunch break to do big edits (1300+ statements is 'big' for me) on wikidata, marking up diamond open access journals
Thanks to everyone here on Mastodon who helped me with the SPARQL needed to work out which journals are in wikidata already. Some 200+ (out of 1500+) Redalyc journals appear not to be in wikidata, yet...
