Went for a #SUP #paddleboard off the La Herradura #Granada #Spain coast yesterday. Stunning views and beautiful clear water.

Paging the paddle boarders...

I use my iSUP on the ocean, and mostly sitting down using a kayak paddle. When the sea is a bit rough, it can be difficult keeping it moving, at pace, in a straight line. So I'm thinking of adding a 2nd fin/keel around the middle.

I'll be sacrificing turning for better straight-line tracking.

I've seen a few inflatable kayaks with two fins, one at the back and one in the middle, so it's not a new idea.

Anyone any comments?

Paddled from Nerja to Torrox today. I'm still not too steady standing up, so used the kayak paddle.

This photo is of #Calaceite, an area of #Torrox. There are plans for a marina and golf course here. No idea if it'll ever get built, the plans have existed for decades!

Did a really dumb thing with my #sup #paddleboard…. Left it fully inflated in the sun for four hours. Result? Two separated seams and lots of things like the fin box coming off. All due to the glue melting and the air pressure getting way too high.

1 week and lots of PVC adhesive later and it’s all fixed. The repaired seams aren’t leaking and the fin box etc. is solidly back in place.

Now to find the time to get it back out on the ocean.

I do plan on replacing it with a welded one soon too!

Actually the only times we wore wetsuits (and a small emergency inflation device) was when paddling the board we had brought on the ferry from Denmark. It was swimsuits for the rest of the long trip (and occasionally a shirt and jacket when working). S suggested that she was only there for her arms… I protested that I just admired her action.

I was out snorkling with my paddleboard the other day, when I found a lure for a casting rod stuck in a powerline above this channel
