InstaVolt extends off-peak charging hours from 20:00-07:00. This must make it very appealing to anybody who doesn't have AC charging options... some of our neighbours just charge once a week at the council charger -this will provide a alternative option nearby with two more charging bays and more reliability.

This makes a lot of sense for them: I've already invested the capital in the chargers and back-end systems, this should keep the chargers busy during quiet times and if it causes some people to reschedule their charging -that provides more capacity at peak times.

Petrol stations never reduce their fuel prices at offbeat times or when it is sunny or windy.

@keithramsey well, except for the fact it is illegal to even encourage people to protest about the fossil fuels anywhere within Bristol Airport.

"The Order prohibits entering, occupying or remaining upon any part of the Airport for the purpose of protesting about fossil fuels or the environment without the prior consent of the Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Claimants.
You must not do any of the above acts either yourself or by means of another person acting on your behalf, instructions or encouragement.
You must not contravene the terms of the Order and if you do, you may be in contempt of Court and sent to prison, fined or have your assets seized"
This from an airport which pretends to care about the environment and tries to convince people that future fuels will allow them to expand the airport without any environmental damage

Here's a follow up.
We've had solar panels installed for exactly five years.
Total generation: 19,134 kWh.
Average yearly: 3,826 kWh.

According to the UK's Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, the average UK household's electricity consumption is… 3,800 kWh!

So our solar panels have allowed us to reach a personal "net zero" for our electricity consumption.
In fact, we generate *more* than we use. We're an exporter of clean green electricity to our neighbours.

Tories are going to drop their 2050 #netzero commitments because they wish to ape Reform's policy here.

On 24 June 2019, without a single objection, Conservative MPs passed legislation that committed the UK to a legally binding target of net zero carbon emissions by 2050.

This legal commitment was the only half decent thing May ever did

Shameful how they have moved away from this

#Conservative party to ditch commitment to #NetZero in #UK by 2050

Why that isn't a surprise to me is because l'm confident that most leaders are not the right people for the sustainability task (they're too dam ignorant & too dam biased)

The #science is clear. Not quickly reducing greenhouse gas emissions is tantamount to Involuntary
manslaughter (causing many deaths) But, folk burn harmful fuels in their vehicles everyday & eat meat, without considering the environmental
consequences.

In essence, politicians are abandoning the responsibility to reduce pollution for their own childrens, & children's children future (as they are the unsustainable business as usual culture, including farming agricultural animals for meat)

But, that's a sign of the times #Plutocracy
