Following yesterday's defocussed colours of Orion, here's something slightly different:
The Colours of Sirius 
Here the colours don't reflect the temperature of Sirius directly – they're due to atmospheric turbulence changing the refractive index of the air.
That bends different wavelengths towards or away from the line of sight in a constantly changing way, creating this coloured "twinkling" 
Also best seen by defocussing 
Ah, it has been a while since I was last in Germany at carnival / Karneval / Fasching / Fastnacht time, & our small town of Ziegelhausen outside Heidelberg held their parade this afternoon 
Unfortunate side effect – stopped me going cycling, as the only road to the bottom of the valley was closed for hours & filled with the parade, plus I don’t have the knees to cycle up into the hills 
Will go out tomorrow instead 
My Saturday workout paused when I saw four deer trotting up the street enjoying today's mild Montana weather. They needed to obey traffic lights and use the crosswalks better, though.
Little known fact: KC and The Sunshine Band only meant to sing, "I wanna put on my boogie shoes," but it was REALLY cold, so they sang "my my my my my boogie shoes" instead. They liked it and left it in. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
Shylo can't believe how much snow we're getting, but I can! She gets to hibernate at home while I go to work to forecast more snowy and very cold weather for Montana and Wyoming!

A little bit of random rocketry which I just noticed on my desktop
This is #Ariane5 VA256 in the Bâtiment d'Assemblage Final (BAF) at CSG Kourou in French Guiana on 23 December 2021 
In the fairing at the top, is the NASA/ESA/CSA #JWST, two days ahead of its big day 
And it has had many other big ones since, out there 1.5 million kilometres away, orbiting L2 
Since it's been colder the last couple of weeks, Shylo has discovered the warmest place is in bed under the covers and under my arm. She is very thankful, and now I'm not allowed to move...
Sometimes, #GameDev is about making more work for yourself. I wrote a bit of a "helper" method to allow for self-referential recipes for items in @dunderbeckgame for when the player had an invalid recipe (so it would just spit out the first item)
Me: Ah! I need to get candy for tomorrow!
Them: Yeah! Get plenty of Halloween candy!
Me: Halloween? Oh, yeah. HALLOWEEN candy.
I had a 500+ mile adventure on Monday. My third stop was the Montana - South Dakota Corner, which is due to survey error. The surveyor "disregarded the position of the Wyoming corner" by 3/4 of a mile.

Is there a tool or website that will allow me to match up the tone and ambience of audio in one recording against audio from another?
I need to re-record something but in a different location and want to minimise the difference in room tone and timbre.
Am moderately cool with Hindenburg and Fairlight. I dabble at least.
