A while ago I bought a vintage Dymo-Mite M22 embossing labeler after seeing a lot of other people on r/buyitforlife complaining about the new plastic ones. It is a pleasure to use and the result is great!
Was looking for instructions since I'm sharing it, and use is not 100% intuitive. Mind blown when I found the original instructions + exploded diagram + *price list for every single piece!*
The only company I know of that currently supply exploded diagrams + design in a way that such a diagram is sufficient for repair + sell all replacement parts is Felco, who make garden shears/similar (and that's not with all their models)
Dymo has gone hard for thermal ink tape devices, which certainly have some advantages.
They still sell a device clearly inspired by the Mite, name "Rhino". Can't see any parts on their website. I managed to find some parts on Alibaba, but not cheap.
Dymo don't even publish the Mite instructions... it never existed to them.
(insert anti-capitalist rant here)
@douginamug Right to repair!
