update: I might change the age at which older Jennifer died in young Jennifer's arms so I don't get the first "gang sign number" (14), thus from 11 (she's 25 in 2024) to maybe 12 or 13. I might also want to change the year the world ends in the Intro from 2112 (Rush homage of course) to 2121 just to get rid of the other gang-sign number.

Or I might keep them as a reminder that Spanner In The Works' "superhero" villain Dick Becket is canonically Hitler's godson.

continued: Speaking of Dick Becket, there's a bonus associated with him. You see, he's the hereditary king of the Blackcoats, the Syndicate of the Black Mantle founded/taken over by Count Cagliostro. His mother, one Delphine Drake Becket Abernethy, is the youngest child of Wold Newton villainess Urania Moriarty, daughter of Sherlock Holmes' nemesis, by Business Plot figure Robert Putney Drake. That's why he's Hitler's godson. So this "hero" is a born villain.

continued: In Spanner In The Works chapter 5 there are terrorists. Islamic terrorists. All of them former KKK "(stereo)typical redneck cops". Sia being Sia, she trolls them right off her balcony.

Here's where the "gang sign numbers" come in: 14 years since Jennifer died in her own arms, 88 years till the end of the world (in 2112). The explicit mention of them virtually summons the terrorists. Our heroines, you see, are witches.

Making the edit now.

continued: Edit made.

Noticing how I had (the evil Edison Carter) and (blimp advertising the Off-World colonies) motifs literally collide and blow up. The blimp advertiser, AmeriSpace ("Conquering the Infinite Kingdom of Space"), belongs to Radical Futurist villains loosely based on the likes of Musk, Thiel, Bezos, etc. I'll need to edit stronger references to them later in Spanner In The Works.

continued: Chapter 5 followup edits made. I always follow up major edits with fine-tuning. I'm perfectionist like that.

Next, I'll reread Chapters 6 and 7. 6 being a flashback chapter, I shouldn't need to make any major edits. I might keep Chapter 7 the way it currently is too, or I might make a few additions for the final continuity.

chapter 6 update: I've already combined "the Nine" with "the Pleiadaeans" (who want to eat you) because I was annoyed that the latter's channeler is such a Trump fangirl. Take that, *all* channeled aliens. That means you too, Ramtha (in the Willa sections of chapters 24-7).

Also, there's a rap group called the Chi-Sah Gang in a scene swiped from Kanye's "Monster" (one of his early red flag moments) as part of my satire against the Fashion-Industrial Complex.

Chapter 6 concluded: Sure enough, I made only a few minor edits. I'd say it's all but perfect now.

Willa gets her moment against the Fashion-Industrial Complex in chapter 27. She wears nothing the entire novel, even when she's out riding her bike between Bremerton and Centralia, because in my headcanon she's the true founder and leader of anti-clothes terrorist group Nudist Beach from (famous war cry: Fashion Is Fascism).

update: Started reading Chapter 7 only to conk out in the middle. Something tells me I need a siesta.

I'll be back.
