20 years of Linux on the Desktop (part 3)
Read chapter 3 of the book I’m currently writing about the history of Linux on the desktop.

Still looking for an agent or a publisher to make a dead-tree version of it…
@ploum Another nice read!
Small typo at the end: " with Meego.k was way darker". Not sure what the "k" was supposed to be :)
@agateau : thanks, the whole sentence was a bad copy/paste ! Fixed it.
@ploum You're welcome! This article reminded me of the n810 I got at a conference, I loved (and still love) this device!
I searched for a long time for a phone with a n810-like keyboard, but that ship has sailed...
@agateau : there’s this PDA which is running Debian : https://www.www3.planetcom.co.uk/gemini-pda
I sold mine because I could not type in Bépo on it. But I could buy one again once I learn #ergol ;-)
@ploum I don’t see the two keys that should be found under the L key and the one on its right. It would take a remapping, and to compensate for the hijacking of the keys ↑ and shift it would be necessary to combine with Arsenik¹ or an equivalent. That said, it would be all impossible with Bépo.
@ploum Oohhh, too bad I recently replaced my phone. Now I must resist ordering this one :)
