Trumpeter swans, feeding, on their way further North. They are the heaviest bird native to the North America. The lake is still partially frozen.
#FotoVorschlag 'Keine Farbe'
Gestern habe ich mich doch mal wieder an die Portraitfotografie getraut.
We gave it a lift in the boot of the car. The head and neck sticking up and looking from side to side caught some attention from passing traffic.
Bird back in river. I hope flying and landing goes better next time.
We have a young swan/cygnet in our garden, following a poor attempted landing on the roof, fall onto a chair and period of sitting around looking stunned.
We do not have the necessary take-off run of around 65 metres.
Possibly it will end up being encouraged to walk back to the river.
