In 1943, the Nazis decided to murder all the remaining Jews of the Ghetto, many of whom fought back with Molotov cocktails. The city is now part of Ukraine.

Today in Labor History January 5, 1968: Reformist Alexander Dubček came to power in Czechoslovakia, marking the beginning of the "Prague Spring." During the Prague Spring, Dubček loosened restrictions on the media, speech and travel. He also created a dual federation within the country made up of the Czech Socialist Republic and Slovak Socialist Republic. However, this was insufficient to mollify activists, who became increasingly defiant of the government. They began to occupy workplaces and formed mutual aid networks. When the Soviet Union and other Warsaw Pact members invaded the country with tanks and 650,000 soldiers, activists fought them with rocks, Molotov cocktails and homemade weapons. The Soviet military predicted they would subdue the country in four days, but the resistance held out for eight months. When they finally quashed the uprising, the Soviets continued to control Czechoslovakia until 1989, when the Velvet Revolution finally ended the Communist regime.

(Chile) Commemoration of Fallen Comrades and Molotovs Against Cops

On Friday, December 13, a commemorative activity was convened under the slogan: “For all our fallen in the social war” outside the Liceo 1 Javiera Carrera in Santiago.

During the course of the instance, anonymous people read a communiqué that called on the combatant youth to always remain in the streets, against the police, in memory of each dead comrade and in solidarity with those who resist political imprisonment.

In the place they displayed different canvases and anarchic propaganda, where the faces and names of the dead comrades could be seen: Javier Recabarren, Luisa Toledo, Luciano Balboa, Luciano Pitronello, Belén Navarrete and Alonso Verdejo. Also, that of the prisoners Mónica Caballero and Marcelo Villarroel.

Later, from inside the high school hooded people came out to confront the police (COP) with Molotov cocktails. After a direct attack by the anonymous people on the cops and their response with abundant tear gas, the demonstration came to an end.

The commemorative day ended without arrests.

As part of the call for a Black November in memory of comrade Kevin Garrido, a group of young anarcho-nihilists set up barricades and clashed with police near a secondary school in Chile during the first weeks of November. At the scene they threw molotovs for black memory, in solidarity with the prisoners of social war, in solidarity with the comrades of “INBA”, who were hit by fire while making Molotov cocktails in the toilets of a secondary school in Santiago, Chile. Also, among the molotovs thrown there is a call for solidarity with comrade Marianna M. and in memory of comrade Kyriakos Xymitiris.

The propaganda read:

“MEMORY AND REVENGE FOR OUR DEAD!

Black November for Kevin Garrido

Down with the cages of civilized society

Free our imprisoned comrades in Chile and the world, Joaquín García, the prisoners of the July 6 case, Monica and Francisco, Aldo and Lukas, Ayekan and every prisoner of war, in the streets!

Solidarity with the comrades of INBA, action and mutual aid!

Solidarity and action with comrade Marianna M. who is hospitalized in Athens.

Kevin Garrido, Kyriakos Xymitiris and each of our dead present!”
