The only two things keeping me from buying a #LightPhone III are an encrypted messenger (e.g. Signal) and end-to-end encrypted user data. I hope they can make it happen one day

However, I have been shifting away from my Apple loyalty recently. I’m not planning on selling my Apple products en masse, but don’t have plans to buy any new ones.
I’ve had success bringing old Macs back to life by installing Linux, so when my M2 MacBook Air goes vintage I plan to install Linux on it.
I’ve also already preordered the Light Phone III and will retire my iPhone 12 mini when it arrives. I’m v much looking forward to this.

The #Kickstarter for the #MuditaKompakt e-ink phone looks quite appealing, more so than the #Lightphone does to me, especially as they say that advanced users will be able to sideload apps, then it becomes somewhat of a smaller #BooxPalma with mobile connectivity and a possibly very awesome device for #ReadwiseReader

I FOMOd into the Lightphone III preorder. I'm now wondering if that will be a mistake since I rely on authentication apps for work and personal stuff.

I’m not ready to part with my beloved 13 mini, and there’s nothing I’m wishcasting harder than a new mini sized #iPhone…
But if that doesn’t happen, AND Watch ever gains independence, I might consider something like the light phone?

The #LightPhone is another, but this time a little more advanced dumbphone, in which you actually pay a lot for a strange idea that is supposed to be brilliant, but not really is. If such a phone is the only escape from socials for you, you’re not well.

I like the idea of the #lightphone. The only (real) reason I still have a phone is for apps I need to handle #banking & Co.
Most of the time I use my phone, I really shouldn't. I am usually slower than I would be (later) on my computer, and pretty limited too. And I am not even going into distraction and/or addiction. 
Before using a Light phone, however, I would still rather use a #linuxphone. Hasn't got any banking apps too but runs #linux and #opensource.

Canceled my #lightphone2 preorder so I could instead get the newly announced #lightphone3 means I gotta wait and extra 6 month and it doesn’t come with a case but I don’t think it needs one? Needed that camera though #lightphone
I love the concept of this #LightPhone III, the #minimalism, the removable battery or this « phone just to call » aspect … but 800$ !?
