Humans need to show more #empathy because it bridges divides & fosters #unity. In a world increasingly fragmented by conflict, misunderstanding, & selfish desires, empathy restores #harmony by recognising shared #humanity. A gentle reminder from a retired old prof. We are all humans, not NPC. We cannot be reduced. We all have value, we all deserve to live and to love. Our humanity and worth cannot be taken away. We must fight those to try to devalue, denigrate, or deny the worth of any of us. Stand up for your rights and for the rights of all humans. Governments work for us, we do not work for them; they serve us, or should fear us.

Exactly, @Mer__edith - and even then, all this is just the profound practical problems, before we get to the profound human problem: That even for what we believe to bve our most goal-oriented tasks, the process is just as important as the outcome.

Even the simplest decision has you checking in with your feelings, memories, relations, values etc. & you know how I know that?
