(Auto Transted) Khalid Pirzadeh, a political prisoner and former bodybuilding champion of Iran, committed suicide by cutting his neck veins in protest of his condition in prison and the lack of medical access. Khaled Pirzadeh had previously said in an audio file from the prison that the prison authorities denied him access to his medicines.
In this audio file, Pirzadeh mentioned that despite the fact that a few weeks had passed since he ran out of seizure and asthma medications and the sciatica pain worsened, the prison authorities did not provide him with his medications.
According to reports, this imprisoned athlete committed suicide a day after the release of this audio file and was taken to the hospital.

خالد پیرزاده، زندانی سیاسی و قهرمان سابق پرورش اندام ایران، در اعتراض به وضعیت خود در زندان و نبود دسترسی پزشکی، اقدام به خودکشی کرد و رگهای گردن خود را برید. خالد پیرزاده، پیش از این در یک فایل صوتی از زندان گفته بود مسئولان زندان او را از دسترسی به داروهایش محروم کردند.
پیرزاده در این فایل صوتی اشاره کرده بود که با وجود گذشت چند هفته از تمام شدن داروهای تشنج و آسم و تشدید درد سیاتیک، مسئولان زندان داروهایش را در اختیار او قرار ندادند.
بر اساس گزارشها، این ورزشکار زندانی یک روز پس از انتشار این فایل صوتی، اقدام به خودکشی کرد و به بیمارستان منتقل شد.
