What these birds doing?

They were perched in the high branches of these tall trees, many of them with their wings spread wide. There is no sun for them to be getting any warmth from, just overcast daylight. There were several doing this, flying off again and then coming back to do the same again. I think they are crows or ravens, though at first I thought they might be bald eagles.

Any ideas anyone?

Karlsruhe Castle at night - before the renovations

Since I took this image in 2010, the castle grounds have been renovated and the fountain no longer exists. All of the landscaping in front of the castle has been changed. This was taken at 10 pm and just after I took the shots, the fountain was turned off for the last time and all of the lights went out.

Great memories of our trips to Germany.

A market stall bearing fruit, such as grapes, bananas, figs, peaches and with green vine type leaves twining around the stall. There is a bowl with what seems to be two snakes, facing each other with mouths open. I think they are toys, probably. The vendor,, standing behind the stall is arranging small yellow bananas and at the end of that shelf is a white statuette of a cherub. There are price tickets displayed and behind the stall is a man talking on his mobile phone next to a black iron grating.

Crowds on the Beach in Nova Scotia

Taken with a fisheye lens, this has a strange perspective and curves the horizon. The rock you see is really huge, as you can tell by the size of the person at the very end, taking pictures possibly of the seals in the water or out on the rocks.
