Packed up my rolly-walker and went over to the rally at the Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul today. No camera on me bc I didn't know what kind of protest it was going to be, but it was packed! Easily 10k!

If I did have a sign it would've said, "It's So Bad Even The Spoonies Are Marching"

Edit: over 25K according to AP/MPR!

Disturbing story out of St. Paul. A major downtown building at a crossroads of the skyway system has kicked out all its tenants.

“We are very concerned by not just what’s happening with the business, but the way that they're doing it. You can’t treat people like that,” [St. Paul mayor Melvin] Carter said on MPR News’ Morning Edition. …

"[Jeweler Paul] Hartquist said it would have been impossible for him to move in 48 hours and has started to carefully pack up items and take them home. His business has been in Alliance Bank Center for almost 36 years."

Uffda. Minnesota capital city's only downtown grocery is closing.

Fred Melo writes in the PiPress:

"Tres Lund, chief executive officer of the Edina-based supermarket chain, said the grocery, which opened at 115 East 10th St. in 2014, had been profitable in its first seven or eight years, but struggled during the pandemic when downtown employers shifted to remote work."
