I hate CNN and MSNBC, and I can't stand #JakeTapper who weaponises antisemitism against Palestinians and particularly his nauseating targeting of #LindaSarsour

Yet, this is where the info is. This is the full video that #DaveNeal mentioned.

Inside Elon #Musk’s ‘Digital Coup’

"Musk’s loyalists at #DOGE have infiltrated dozens of federal agencies, pushed out tens of thousands of workers, and siphoned millions of people’s most #SensitiveData. The next step: #Unleash the #AI.'

“I was put in a position where, whether I chose to engage or not engage, I might have to cross #ethical lines. I would have to #breach the oath to the #Constitution that I swore. I would have to breach my #morals,” she says."

WIRED · Inside Elon Musk’s ‘Digital Coup’By Makena Kelly

"This is the largest #databreach in American history,” Tong said in a statement on Friday. “#Doge is an unlawfully constituted band of renegade #techbros combing through #confidentialrecords, #sensitivedata and critical payment systems. What could go wrong?”

Are you working with restricted access data? We would like to hear from you!

Do you manage datasets that require access restrictions? Who would be allowed to access these data? Under what conditions do you grant access? ODISSEI and DANS have designed a survey that aims to find out more about common practices in selecting and managing data access restrictions, and their underlying motivations. We would really appreciate your input!

#DataProtection #Privacy #PersonalData #SensitiveData: "A quiet revolution has been going on with personal and sensitive data. There have been many notable developments. In the past few years, we’ve witnessed the triumph of the EU approach to defining personal data and to designating special protections for sensitive data.

We’ve seen a growing recognition in the law that:

- the overwhelming modern consensus in privacy law is to define personal data as identified or identifiable data
- new laws (post-GDPR) are now overwhelmingly recognizing sensitive data, even in the U.S.
- various pieces of non-personal data can, in combination, be identifiable
- the ability to make inferences about data can’t be ignored
non-sensitive data that gives rise to inferences about sensitive data counts as sensitive data

These are significant developments, yet oddly, they haven’t made headline news.

I recently wrote an article about sensitive data. I argue that because non-sensitive data can count as sensitive data if it gives rise to inferences about sensitive data, all personal data is likely sensitive data with modern data analytics."

«It knows when you’ve been online shopping, the last time you worked out and whether you’ve been lurking on your ex’s profile.

#Meta’s new #SocialMedia platform #Threads is gobbling up massive amounts of #SensitiveData on its 100 million users and counting.

The specificity and quantity of #information the text and #multimedia platform can access poses a risk to most users, if it falls into the wrong hands or is used to target them, tech experts agree.»

@patrickcmiller
As she should. Any organization that stores such #SensitiveData should have #infosec on the same level as the #BigBanks (hardware token #MFA on every login, #DualControl on the most sensitive stuff, #honeypots, #IDS, etc.), but that was clearly not the case here. Hopefully, her #attorneys will mop the floor with this reckless organization, thereby setting a precedent that makes other #HealthcareProviders think twice about skimping on #cybersecurity.
