Raoul Servais (94), de internationaal gelauwerde pionier van de Belgische animatiefilm, is gisteren in zijn woning in Leffinge (Middelkerke) overleden. Hij won tientallen prijzen, waaronder een Gouden Palm in Cannes, en stond aan de wieg van de opleiding animatiefilm aan de Koninklijke Academie voor Schone Kunsten van Gent, de eerste in heel Europa.
