#RFKJr, #Trump’s *#health* secy, singled out #NEJM in an interview w/the “Dr. Hyman Show” podcast last year as an example of a #medical journal that has participated in “lying to the public” & “retracting the real science.”

Andrew Nixon, a spox for the #HHS, declined to comment on whether RFKJr had any involvement w/the letters.

In the interview, RFKJr said he would seek to prosecute medical journals under federal anti-corruption laws.

Here's the short version:

RFK Jr. is a staunch believer in the theories of Antoine Bechamp.

Who is Antoine Bechamp? Basically Louis Pasteur's nemesis.

Pasteur's “Germ Theory" is the foundation of modern medicine.

Bechamp's "terrain of the body" theory posits that the reason one gets sick is that the body was already in a bad state, which allowed the illness to take hold.

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is being run by a guy who doesn't believe in Germ Theory. 🤦‍♂️

I might add:
We #ActuallyAutistic do not just have to be worried about the government itself enacting violence against us, but also radical individuals emboldened to enact violence against us by #RFKJr hate speech and vocal misunderstandings of us.

There have always been those fringe people that hate autists vocally online - trolls - and those are the kinds of non-governmental threats that may be emboldened to violence by an asshat in power like #Rfk_jr

RFK Jr blames diet, lifestyle & vaccines for chronic illness.

Dr Oz says it’s a “patriotic duty” to lead a healthy life & be fit enough to serve in the military.

Neither of them are pushing for Universal Healthcare, basic income, an end to food deserts & inequality, clean water etc.

“You do you” doesn’t work when it comes to public health. People in privilege don’t want us to realize that because we might demand more from government.
