Yet another WIP version of the Quest for Glory 2 Thief finale, from InterAction vol. 3 #3 (Fall 1990). This time the hexagram is present on the floor, but there are no candles and no Ad Avis.
An early screenshot of the Thief finale in Quest for Glory II, from InterAction magazine vol. 4 #2 (Summer 1991), versus the same scene as it appears in a pre-release demo and the final game.
Notice that the pentagram is missing from the floor, but the brazier from the Fighter ending is present!
Fun fact: the manual for Sierra's Quest for Glory IV includes a screenshot of the character sheet for a Hero named "Dingleberry".
Plus the QFG2 manual has "Gonad the Barbarian". :D
(Also notice that the QFG4 char sheet screenshot still has the separate Paladin points from QFG3!)

ACNH has had me thinking about what my favourite games have been over the years and why. One of my earlier faves was Sierra's Quest for Glory series. So many silly jokes, interesting stories and characters. Really creative and a total joy to play. Fighting wasn't too difficult or stressful for a wimp like me either. And you got to take your character (and all their skills) with you to the next in the series (5 in total).
