Ngl, going through #male #content on #Instagram is kind of cringe at times.

Don't get me wrong, I love the #MensMentalHealth memes, the #positivity content, the #ToxicMasculinity satire, all of that is good.

But the copium of divorced dads across the board is so pungent in it's cringeness, even a goof like me has to tell you to have at least some dignity, some self respect.

You play #conservative, so shouldn't you be more reserved? Some of you mfs need to heal and don't know it.

I'm new here. Here's my #introduction. 🌱

My name is Mim; I live in a tiny apartment in a tiny village amongst the fields and farms of rural #Nebraska.

I love sewing, drawing, playing the piano, baking, and crafting. I'm doing the #OdinProject with my daughter to refresh and relearn web development, the newest challenge in my life.

I believe in #manners, #creativity, #honesty, #positivity, #humor, #kindness, and #imagination.

I look forward to meeting you! 🌱

Todays #positivity is my wildflower section of garden coming to life again. It took a few years to really take hold but it is great seeing the variety of plants that we have.

It is interesting how it seems a different species seems to dominate each year too.

Love the amount of insects in attracts too. Seen a few bees already this year along with other flying things of various types.

It is pretty low maintenance and delivers flowers for months.

“In Bristol we were driving up a steep narrow road. In front of us were two cyclists and a guy on a hire scooter. The hill was a bit much for the scooter so one of the cyclists helped him up the hill with a gentle hand on his back. It must of been hard work for the cyclist.”

This is a lovely example of everyday kindness shared by @MelSedds right here on Mastodon - big thanks for allowing us to share it further.

Todays #positivity is completing my university essay. Technically not complete as I need to tidy up the references etc but the actual writing is done.

I am enjoying that I am able to relate it to my work and see benefits from what I am learning.

“I was waiting for my doctors appointment, when two older men came in. It soon became apparent that one of them had found the other out of breath and seemed to be very confused.

This man took him to the doctors and got him sorted and as it turned out he had an appointment in about half an hours time. The man who found him had been walking his dogs, and said that he would take his dogs back home and then come back to wait with him and give him a lift home.”

Todays #Positivity is the pleasure of a slab of tablet. A Scottish sweet treat. The taste of fudge and the texture of Kendall mint cake.

My daughter was in Scotland recently and brought me some back. It is a super sickly sugar fest. Shared with family who hadn’t had it before. Daughter liked it. My wife not so much and was almost scared of it.

My mum is Scottish so it is a little childhood reminiscence for me.

Todays #Positivity was a beautiful evening #Running with my club mates. First session of our summer route out onto the trails. Past some new lambs in a field and watching the sun go down as we crossed some parkland. A crisp evening but was one of those times when you realise why you love running so much.

Todays #Positivity is having a productive day despite having a night of very little sleep. Secondly it is because I know I am now going to sleep super soundly tonight and I am working from home tomorrow so don’t need to get up early.

Todays #Positivity is about saying ‘No’ at work. I was asked to cover something that is not part of my core portfolio but something I am expected to cover from time to time. I have a lot of my main work to do in a short amount of time so said no. Now my boss might subsequently insist I cover the work which is fine as long as they accept that somethings won’t get done as a consequence.
