In the event that you cannot find the battery that normally goes into a standard size New Nintendo 3DS (KTR-003), you can wedge a standard CTR-003 battery instead; you just need something like a folded paper to keep it in place. This is especially helpful since KTR-003 batteries are much more uncommon, while CTR-003 is used in so many things, like 3DS, 2DS, New 2DS XL, Wii U Pro Controller, and Switch Pro Controller meaning it's the only 3DS battery still in active production by Nintendo themselves.
