#School #WarhammerAlliance and it was anti-Warhammer evening (free-for-all) so I brought a #Mordheim Arena variant for the students who have yet to know the joy of #Wargaming.

Of course, it being Mordheim, I had to explain every dice roll because there are so many, but I had them go at each other one on one and they had fun!

Have brought my final #TrenchCrusade terrain piece up with the rest and jammed darker brown paint on for visual interest, courtesy @BB_Spiky. Am fking about with streaking grime now.

Had a fun idea: I'll get a marker during every game and let every opponent draw or write some graffiti on!

Also spent upwards of 6 hours on #Thrudball admin - tickets went on sale and as last year's tournament sold out in hours, we had to match payments to forms and people, and people are generally not as good as @StuWatts at filling out and paying

Today, we washed, and then we laid out everything, and then we stippled on more mud texture.

This is a good full table. Really contented. Dangerously low on terrain mud tho.

Not as productive as the last two days, but decided to do something different with my most hideous #TrenchCrusade terrain piece.

Glad I had saved all the skewer tips I snipped off - with my faux Dremel it was half an hour or so to metal the piece up!

All the vertical supports are on, I've sealed the surface with thinned PVA with some medium in, and now I'm at the horizontal/slightly diagonal struts phase. This is going to take LONG and cost a LOT of skewers

Put thicker beams on all these pieces. A family of skewers has died for this.

Ungodly amount of terrain pieces clearly representing the sides and tops of trenches. Ok it's not really ungodly, there are eight in different forms in this picture. Two trapezoids with little stairs leading to the top two short straight barriers, one massive u-shaped barrier, 1 massive t-shaped barrier, one giant l-shaped barrier. All of them have wood paneling around the sides and thicker wood beams @ intervals. Only the trapezoid shapes do not have mud texture topping

Trapezoid shaped trench pieces with small flights of stairs flanked with broken wood. Every Vertical support Beam on these Pieces has a sharpend tip. Yeah I took the factory sharpened point of the skewers and sharpened them to the homely amateurist thing that you see here with a pencil sharpener because it looks nice and rough

A friend put on their now traditional winter 'snowy' game last week. Ironically, this had been put off for a week due to real-life snow.

A non-canonical game set in #MiddleEarth and using a heavily modified version of #DragonRampant. It was just an excuse to get most of their miniatures and buildings on the table!

A big siege with just about everyone turning up at some point. Orcs and Trolls launched the initial assault, with the Witch-King leading from the front. The real Gandalf seemed to be missing, and his 'stunt double' was useless when trying to cast spells.

It was back and forth on the Walls and Keep, but it looked like Sauron had the upper hand at the end of the game, as a new wave of Easterlings reached the walls.

Siege Weapon throwing rocks at an already breached walls as Orcs and Trolls advance.

Orcs scale the walls onto the ramparts, as Gandalf the Off-Colour fails to activate.

The defense of the Keep as Orcs storm the ramparts. Easterling reinforcements can be seen approaching in the background.
