#Trump will also most likely ask an appeals court to halt the restrictions on him & his sons from running the company while it considers the case.

But there might be little Trump can do to thwart one of the judge’s most consequential punishments: extending for 3 years the appointment of an independent monitor who will be the court’s eyes & ears at the #TrumpOrganization, watching for #fraud & second-guessing transactions that look suspicious.

#Ivanka was shown a #GSA doc that stated: "Financial statements provided by Mr. Trump were qualified by his accountants as not complying w/ #GAAP."

Defense apparently presented this as evidence that #Trump SFCs on this deal didn't mislead.

#NYAG atty Solomon objected to its admission, saying that it's was a GSA internal doc.
"She's never seen it before today," Solomon said.

Engoron, ruled for defense (allowed it), but limited certain questioning on it.

After lunch, #Ivanka Trump returned to the stand.

#NYAG: “Why did you send this to Mr. #Kushner?”

Ivanka: "My husband is also in real estate, & we have respect for each other."

In a Dec 16, 2011, the #TrumpOrganization’s David Orowitz told #AllenWeisselberg: "Ivanka wanted me to change the language in the #GAAP section. She asked that I review w/you."
Asked if she had any reason to believe Orowitz was inaccurate, Ivanka replied: "No."

#NYAG Solomon turned to a meeting #Trump, #Ivanka & others had w/ the GSA & asked if she recalled the government raising questions about Trump's financial statements.
She said she did not.

It is again noted that the GSA was concerned about the financial info on the statements that wasn't in line w/ #GAAP.

NYAG showed an email from Dec. 17, 2011, that the #TrumpOrganization’s David Orowitz sent Ivanka w/a handout for a presentation on the #OPO.

#NYAG noted in the GSA’s document it stated: it noticed "multiple #GAAP departures" in #Trump's #SFC in late 2011.

#Ivanka: "I recall them asking questions [for] many months, long months after we submitted our (proposal).”

#NYAG: "But you don't recall anything about Donald Trump's statements of financial condition?"

Ivanka: “Outside of what you've shown me now & a year and a half ago, no.”

After that, Justice #Engoron called it a day.

Trial starts at 10 am ET tomorrow w/ #EricTrump still on the stand.

Asked if he received professional training related to #GAAP, #DonaldTrumpJr answered “no”

Asked who his employer is, #Trump Jr replied: "I believe it's still Trump Payroll Corp”

Asked if he's familiar with rent-stabilization law, Jr says: "I was then. I probably forgot most of it now."

After a back-and-forth, #DonaldTrumpJr. answers that he knows what it stands for: "generally accepted accounting principles."

Beyond that, he says, "That's what I have CPAs for.

(Besides being flippant, he – or daddy –obviously exchanged something for him to get that Wharton degree, & it wasn’t hours studying.)

Gross; when #DonaldTrumpJr sat down at the defense table to pose w/his attorneys for the media, he said, "I should have worn make-up.”

Colleen Flaherty was the atty from the #NYAG’s office who questioned Trump Jr.

First she questioned him re his background /education, then #GAAP comes back up (see video earlier in thread)

State expert, #MichielMcCarty, testified he conducted an analysis of risk differentials of what the true interest rates would have been if the statements of financial condition accurately stated #Trump's assets.

All he knows about #GAAP, is that it stands for “generally accepted accounting principles.”
