Been introducing the kids to Doctor Who. Still early days. Tonight we watched the episodes that hooked me originally. They hold up. The kids loved them. They’ve been into it, but these were the first glued-to-the-screen episodes.
The question is, can you guess the episodes?
It was The Empty Child and The Doctor Dances (two-parter set in 1941 London), the first Moffat episodes. Just excellent storytelling.

@zemlanin that’s where I started but I don’t think the kids would appreciate it.
@jbradforddillon do they find daleks and cybermen (if you’ve gotten to them already) charming, ridiculous, or something else?
@zemlanin they’ve met the Daleks. The way the first season (of the reboot) introduces them is pretty good. They’re clearly old and antiquated, but that adds to the story of the forever war with the Time Lords. So they found them… all of the above?
I also had to explain that their design predates this iteration of the show. They already have to look past the 2005-era CGI, so they’re fine with it.
