We opted for a procedure that doesn’t involve general anesthesia, because the risks and complications involved in that are huge. Some patients and OBGYNs jump straight to radical hysterectomy in cases like mine, but in addition to the anesthesia, there’d be extra surgical reconstruction to worry about given the risk of prolapse.
