An Allium giganteum Regal (giant onion) flower. Such a beautiful rich shade of purple, and I love the clustered flowers. Also not edible, it will make you quite sick if you eat any part of the plant.
Pisa Botanic Gardens May 2019
Another shot of the oxeye daisies, this time with two tiny ant frens. Such pretty flowers, they totally deserved their spot in Minecraft.
Pisa Botanic Gardens, May 2019
An Oxeye daisy (Leucanthemum vulgare) from the Pisa Botanic Gardens. I love daisies, they're always such bright and cheerful flowers, much loved by bees.
A water lily from one of the many ponds in the Pisa Botanic Garden. On this warm day in Naarm (Melbourne), may it help cool you down.
May 2019
Another camellia, this time the camellia japonica "Paolina Maggi". Again from the Pisa Botanic Gardens and the last of the photos of the camellias. Photo taken May 2019
Camellia japonica L. "Santa Maria del Fiore", a camellia from the Pisa Botanic Gardens. Photo taken in May 2019. They had a great section of camellias, so there will be more.
An orange calendula officinalis from the Pisa Botanic Gardens. Photo taken in May 2019
A Lampranthus amoenus from the Pisa Botanic garden. Photo taken in May 2019 (the before times)
A Mammillaria cactus in flower, in the cactus greenhouse in the Pisa botanic gardens
Oddly enough, I spotted this Australian Bottlebrush (Callistemon) in Pisa, Italy. I saw quite a few more during this trip both in Italy and Corsica. I didn't know how popular they are in the Mediterranean region.
An alstromeria from the Pisa Botanic Gardens. If you are even in Pisa, I highly recommend visiting the botanic gardens there, they're one of the oldest in the world and are absolutely fascinating (if you like plants and flowers). This is from a trip to Italy and France in 2019.
Two purple cosmos and a yellow rose side by side from the Alhambra gardens, Grenada, Spain. Again from my trip in 2018.
Purple cosmos flower from the gardens of Alhambra, Grenada, Spain, from a trip taken in 2018. I'd definitely go back to Grenada, I loved the town and the Alhambra.
