Jonathan EmmesediWilliam Keegan rightly criticized these words from Mandelson as kowtowing to Trump.The UK needs to keep its relations with the USA diplomatically correct but without a trace of submissiveness, and preferably with all talk of "the special relationship" excised.One measure the UK should take is to shelve plans for a royal visit to the USA while Trump is in power.
