The syncing capability on 3.0 is nowhere near as good and that is something I rely on. taskd is tricky to set up but, once done, is rock solid and fast. It all worked perfectly for me so why bother changing?

Новая версия теперь работает с sqlite, а ее файл вы синхронизируйте как вам нравится через любые облачные сервисы.Так если бы переписал и все работало как ранее, то было бы ок. Но в новой версии sqlite используется просто как бинарное хранилище. В таблице два поля: uuid и текстом json контент задачи. Выбираются все айдишники, а потом по каждой задаче делается отдельная выборка и уже парсится контент. Not convinced by the 3.0 release yet. I get that development had pretty much ceased but v2 was always very stable for me, full of features and taskd provides the quickest and most reliable sync of any tool I've ever used, pretty much. Will check in again in a few months to see how it's going.

Of course, I only realise this after I already upgraded.Instead of going through an awkward dance of moving my task files to another machine or trying to downgrade taskwarrior, I just created a distrobox of the previous fedora version, exported, imported from my "main" box, and I was done.
