Tim ScottThis is not the kind of photograph that gets a lot of likes or attention but I find myself drawn more and more to moments like this. It’s the kind of photograph that you need to spend a little time looking at to see what I saw and what inspired me to press the shutter right at this moment. I shoot a lot of film so every time I press the shutter it costs me money – I don’t take that lightly. I’m always looking for moments with a lot of details so that the photograph is not a one-trick-pony. There are times for that for sure but as I look at historical photographs the ones I find most interesting are ones that give me a more in-depth look at the moment captured. The older the photograph the more important the details seem to be because so many of the elements of that moment are gone forever – the people, the location, the fashion, the experience that everyone was having at that exact split second is never to happen again in the same way, ever.
