David HembrowI've painted the shed and the fence this morning, planted a few veg, and now it's time to build a new wheel for my two-wheeled recumbent.The freehub in the existing wheel has decided to be "free" more often than it should be. Sometimes it works just fine, and other times when I pedal the pedals just spin without doing anything. I'll probably take the hub apart and see if it's salvagable, but first I'll get the new wheel in use.It's an old bike, about 27 years old now, but it suits me. It's comfortable, nice to ride, and I'm used to it. This is the fourth time I've rebuilt the rear wheel. Dabei durchfahre ich dort den Kreiverkehr immer in leichter Kurve mit hoher Geschwindigkeit, schneller als es Autos können. Onderweg nog gebabbeld met een tegemoetkomende mede-ligfietser Maar ook een minder grappige ontmoeting met een op me inrijdende automobilist(e). fackeldeyfindsHet is een hele onderneming om bij de trikedealer in Wijchen te komen, doe er meer dan een uur over. Moet eerst een stuk lopen naar de bushalte, dan een klein half uur met de bus en nog een stuk lopen. De bus vertrekt van Station Heyendaal dat net helelmaal verbouwd is en daar zag ik deze nieuwe aanplant. Lijken net staarten van eekhoorns die op hun kop in het zand zitten 🤭. Maar het belangrijkste is dat de trike weer rijdt als een zonnetje.
