Spyder<p>Spyder 6.1 will come with an assorted array of cool features, and the one we’d like to mention today is no less impressive:</p><p>JupyterHub support!! 🤯🥳🥰</p><p>Yeah! As long as your JupyterHub server includes our own extension, you'll be able to easily use it to run your code! 💪</p><p>🧐 You just need to ask IT to install our Jupyter server extension: <a href="https://github.com/spyder-ide/spyder-remote-services" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">github.com/spyder-ide/spyder-r</span><span class="invisible">emote-services</span></a></p><p><a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Spyder" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Spyder</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/JupyterHub" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>JupyterHub</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Jupyter" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Jupyter</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Python" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Python</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/IDE" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>IDE</span></a></p>

Scott Williams 🐧<p>You know what would be beyond awesome? If there were some way to hook <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/geany" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>geany</span></a> into <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/JupyterHub" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>JupyterHub</span></a> via the Jupyter-server-proxy and run geany in a notebook from a browser.</p>
Brian Monroe<p>So it turns out that RStudio ships it's own binary of quarto. In a previous term, the instructor request the r-quarto cli be installed. In the most recent releases of RStudio, installing the cli quarto breaks the RStudio binary ENVs that are set. Scott Williams 🐧<p>Conversations this evening have got me thinking about possibly writing a <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/JupyterHub" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>JupyterHub</span></a> integration for <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/CollaboraOffice" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CollaboraOffice</span></a> 🤔.</p><p>I'm a little surprised it doesn't already exist. Being able to output python/R generated charts, etc into a document or read and process document form data en masse all seem like good potential use cases for it.</p>
Scott Williams 🐧<p>Finally making progress on running Jenkins <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/podman" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>podman</span></a> jobs in <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/Kubernetes" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Kubernetes</span></a>.
