It's like buying a house, but the deed says "you can live here until we decide otherwise."It's been two years since I last used Steam, and I'm glad I don't use it anymore. I would purchase a game, play it once, and then never again, not even finish it. It was a waste of money and time in my life.Steam, while not as harmful as Big Tech in stifling creativity, still uses a licensing model that restricts true ownership. LarenOnce upon a time, I played Warframe. I gave it up early on (MR6 for those keeping score.)Was looking for something that runs well on the steam deck, and hit on the game. For those who don't know, Warframe is obscenely optimized - sub-50gig install, runs fantastic on the deck even super busy, and still very pretty on medium.Man, but the game has a grind loop that's easy to get sucked into. FellI just found out that the NVIDIA driver on Linux simply cannot utilise the system RAM when your GPU is running out of VRAM. Allocations will simply fail. It is not endorsed or authorized by either. It is a fan recreation of the game engine used to play X-Wing and TIE Fighter for the sake of accessibility and requires the original game assets to work.
