The US has displayed recently a pattern of cruelty toward Europeans trying to enter with visas, or even with permanent residence. Some of the victims had mad mistakes, while others do not seem to have done anything even slightly wrong. They have been subject to various forms of torture. I suppose that this treatment was formerly reserved for immigrants from poor
[2/2] countries who were suspected of wanting to stay without permission, but Trump has decided to give allies a taste of hatred. It is legitimate for the US to deny entry to visitors (unless they are entitled to asylum), but it is never justified to torture them for asking to visit or live in the US.
