Did you know some people ENJOY their jobs? AND said jobs aren't white collar or some form of techie based self employment? I know, its hard to imagine.
Example: my coworkers in wrestling aren't doing this because they're "struggling", they legitimately enjoy it AND some of them think of it as a form of art & self expression. My mother works in education BECAUSE she LIKES working with kids. My sister is a cosmologist not because she "couldn't find a real job" but because it's what she LIKES doing. I have an artist friend who LIKES his package delivering side job. Its not tedious to any of them.
@Lanthus I am always so grateful that there are people in the world who are not just like me.

there are tech people I'm encountering who seem to not grasp people out there actually LIKE doing all that stuff they avoid like the plague.
@Lanthus Yeah, just looking at what Silicon Valley produces makes it clear that some very rich people have strange ideas about what humanity as a whole wants to spend time doing. 
Coupled with my fellow technologists' tendency to believe that we're smart (everyone tells us so!) and therefore obviously we understand how the world works and how to solve all its problems, well…
